Paintings hover between landscape and the non-objective.  Thin layers of paint are meticulously applied with a brush revealing minute changes to geometric shapes, flat bold plains of colour, and spontaneous mark-making.  The result is work that explores the nuanced relationship between impulse and preparation, nature and urban development.
